Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 November 2026
In short
- IAL Grades is free, and every number it shows is an estimate. Only your official Pearson results count.
- We are not part of, or endorsed by, Pearson or Edexcel.
- Your data is yours. You can download it or delete your account at any time.
This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are what apply.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and IAL Grades (“we”, “us”), an independent project based in the United Arab Emirates. They cover your use of the website at ial-grades.pages.dev and its tools (the “site”). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. Who can use the site
You can use the tools without an account at any age. To create an account you must be at least 13. If you are under 18, or under the age at which you can agree to these terms where you live, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these terms on your behalf.
3. What the site does
IAL Grades is a free study tool for Pearson Edexcel International A level students. It converts raw marks to UMS using grade boundaries Pearson has published, predicts unit grades from the practice papers you enter, and estimates the UMS you may need for a target grade.
4. Estimates only
- All results, predictions and targets are estimates for practice and planning.
- Pearson sets grade boundaries after each exam, so future boundaries can differ from past ones.
- Boundary data is copied from Pearson’s public documents and may contain mistakes despite our care.
- Your official results from Pearson are the only results that count.
Don’t rely on the site alone for decisions such as exam entries, resits or university applications. Check official sources first.
5. Not affiliated with Pearson
IAL Grades is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pearson Education Ltd. “Pearson”, “Edexcel” and related names are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to describe the qualifications the tool supports.
6. Your account
- Accounts are optional and use Google sign-in. Keep your Google account secure, because anyone who can sign in to it can see and change your IAL Grades data.
- An account is for one person. Don’t share it or sign in as someone else.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account menu. Deleted data can’t be recovered, so download a copy first if you want one.
7. Your data
The subjects, marks and results you enter belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run the site for you, for example to sync them across your devices. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what we store and for how long.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- try to break into the site, its database or other people’s accounts;
- overload the site, or use bots or scrapers to access it or copy its data;
- interfere with the site’s security or ads, or click ads dishonestly;
- use the site for anything illegal or harmful.
9. Our content
The site’s design, code, text and the way its data is organised belong to us. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial study. Don’t copy, republish or sell the site, its code or its dataset without our written permission. Grade boundary figures come from documents Pearson publishes.
10. Ads and other websites
The site is free and is supported by ads from Google AdSense. Ads and links may take you to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
11. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or report a mistake, we may use them to improve the site without owing you anything. Thank you, it helps everyone.
12. Changes to the site
We may change, pause or stop the site or any feature at any time. We try to keep your saved data safe but can’t promise the site will always be available or free of errors. If we decide to close the site, we will try to give account holders at least 30 days’ notice on the site so you can download your data.
13. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from decisions made using estimates, predictions or boundary data shown on the site;
- our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to AED 100.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability or right that the law does not allow to be limited.
15. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or put the site or other users at risk. You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time. Sections 4, 5, 9, 13, 14 and 16 continue to apply after your use ends.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. If you have a problem, please email us first and we will try to resolve it. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be handled by the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you extra rights, those rights still apply.
17. General
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
- These terms are available in English and Arabic. If the two versions differ, the English version applies.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will show a notice on the site. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
